Page 17 LEARNING NEW OR DIFFICULT CHORDS Students and readers often ask me how to learn new or difficult chords. Here is the easiest way I know of: Take a group of chords you already know and insert the new chord between each one. This gets you used to changing to and from the new chord and the chords you already know. Example: You are learning the C chord and you already know E, Am, and D. Write down these chords with C between each one. Your exercise will be C, E, C, Am, C, D, C. Strum each chord once, then move to the next as quickly as possible making sure you are using the correct fingers.
